On November 23, Zouping, the National Superintendent of Schools, Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the China Private Education Association, and President of the Yunnan Private Education Association, led a delegation composed of presidents of 12 private universities to visit our university. Huang Yuanwei, secretary-general of the Liaoning Provincial Private Education Association, and deputy secretaries-general Wang Huiying and Lang Jia accompanied the inspection. School leaders Hu Xiaomei, Gong Piguo, Shao Yu, Liu Aiqiu and Yang Xiuying met with President Zouping and his delegation.
On behalf of the school, Hu Xiaomei welcomed the delegation from private universities in Yunnan Province and expressed her gratitude to the private education associations of the two provinces for their long-term care, support and help to our school. She said that on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the implementation of the Private Education Promotion Law, it is of great significance to communicate with brother universities in Yunnan Province to discuss how to better promote the high-quality development of private universities and provide education that satisfies the people. The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly stated that "guiding and regulating the development of private education" is a major judgment made by the central government based on the development stage, size, role and status of private education, and practical problems. It reflects the central government's high regard for private education. We attach great importance to and earnestly hope that we will work with universities in Yunnan to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, strengthen development confidence, maintain development determination, grasp role positioning, strengthen connotation construction, and jointly make due contributions to building a powerful country in education
Zouping spoke highly of the development and construction achievements of our school. He pointed out that Shenyang Institute of Technology has clear ideas for running schools and actively serves major national strategic needs, such as "Made in China 2025" and the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, which fully reflects the responsibility and foresight of private universities. The school has distinctive educational characteristics, strong matching and adaptability between major settings and social needs, in-depth school-enterprise cooperation, and integration of industry and education, establishing brand majors and forming a cluster effect of advantageous majors; it strives to build an excellent teaching staff and has achieved fruitful teaching results. The school has an accurate positioning, always adheres to the direction of cultivating applied talents, firmly grasps the new needs of regional industries and economic and social development for talent training, makes great efforts to build an advanced internship training platform, and successfully explores new models for order-based and targeted talent training. It provides a strong guarantee for continuously improving the quality of talent training. It is hoped that private universities in Yunnan Province will strengthen exchanges with Shenyang Engineering and jointly achieve high-level construction and high-quality development.
Gong Piguo hosted the exchange symposium and introduced the school’s development and construction achievements in recent years. Before the meeting, the delegation inspected our school’s i5 Intelligent Manufacturing Center, Robot Training Center, Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Museum, Shenyang Institute of Technology Kindergarten and other training bases. Focusing on school facilities, professional settings, teacher team building and postgraduate entrance examination rate, Gong Ailing, dean of Jinqiao College of Kunming University of Science and Technology, Li Yan, executive dean of Kunming University of Arts and Sciences, Zhou Gang, dean of Yunnan Technology and Business University, and deputy director of Kunming City University Dean Chen Xiaoyi and others had in-depth exchanges with the leaders of our school.
