On November 9, President Li Kangju gave a lecture on the theme " Improvement of Education Quality is Everyone's Responsivity” to teachers of Basic Course Department in Conference Room 323 of Energy and Water Conservancy Building. The instruction designed to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important speeches and important instructions on thematic education, effectively unify thoughts and actions into the decisions and deployments of the central and provincial committees, and implement them without compromise
The lecture was involved in four parts from “adhering to the strategic view of prioritizing education development”, “adhering to the mission concept based on building morality and building people”, “the mission concept of serving the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation”, and “the dynamic view of deepening education reform and innovation.”
Li also pointed out that education is a fundamental task for the country and the Party, concerning people’s wellbeing. Chinese education during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period has entered a new stage of high-quality development and content development. From big to strong, it is an important phased characteristic of China's education development. We stay committed to a people-centered approach under quality-oriented education, improving the overall quality of people, promoting the all-round development of people, so as to take the initiative to engage in this transformation. The Institute of Technology gives priority on education, giving students more development options and allowing them to cultivate creativity under numerous choices. Besides, Institute and all faculties pay attention to students' development characteristics and personality differences, respect students' interests, stimulate students' curiosity and desire for knowledge, develop the strengths and potential of each student, promote the comprehensive and individualized development of students, which designs to give a sense of nourishment of education to students ,the joy of growth and education.
Li stressed that teachers in the new era of SIT should hold high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics, earnestly implement the plans of the 20th National Congress of the Party to promote the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China and achieve new breakthroughs, fully implement the new development concept, fully implement the fundamental task of building morality and building people, adhere to the student-centered and student-centered concept, accelerate the construction of an excellent teaching team, and strive to provide students with a curriculum system and teaching content that meets the needs of the times, and continue to strengthen infrastructure construction, teaching infrastructure, education and teaching reform, and provide students with excellent education services and learning living environments.
