On October 29, 2021, the Sino-Russian academic exchange of colleges and universities in three provinces and one region of Northeast China and the second international seminar "China-Russia: Dialogue in the Context of Globalization" were held in Shenyang Institute of Technology. Experts and scholars from 11 Chinese and Russian universities, Wang Zhaobao, Chairman of Shenyang Institute of Technology and more than 100 university leaders gathered together to conduct in-depth study, exchange and discussion on the research achievements in the fields of education, culture, science and technology between China and Russia online and offline.
At the opening ceremony, Li Kangju, President of Shenyang Institute of Technology, delivered a welcome speech.He said that the university actively implemented the spirit of the open school-running work conference and relevant documents of colleges and universities in three provinces and one district of Northeast China. The university will take this seminar as an opportunity to strengthen the academic exchanges and opening to the outside world, and jointly promote the cooperation and opening of universities in three northeasternprovinces and one region to a new level.
The symposium featured keynote speeches by experts and scholars from Post-baikal State University of Russia, Dalian University of Foreign Languages, Shandong Institute of Business and Technology, Inner Mongolia University, Heilongjiang Foreign Languages Institute and Shenyang Institute of Technology. Among them, Sun Yuhua, former president of Dalian University of Foreign Languages, and Ren Xuemei, director of Dalian University of Foreign Languages, shared their views on “The Integrated Function of Language, Culture and Education in Sino-RussianCultural Cooperation”and “Sino-Russian Educational Exchange and Cooperation is an Important Way and Means to Train Talents to Meet the Needs of National and Regional Development”. There are two branches of the academic paper symposium, experts and scholars at the meeting had a heated discussion on two topics: Sino-RussianCooperation in the Context of “Belt and Road”: Opportunities and Challenges, and “2001 Sino-Russian Treaty of Friendship”and the Development of Sino-Russian Relations.
The purpose of the seminar is to further implement the spirit of the meeting of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education on the promotion of the open school-running work of ordinary colleges and universities in three provinces and one district in northeast China and the related documents, and to enhance the international school-running level of colleges and universities in three provinces and one district in Northeast China, we will strengthen cooperation between colleges and universities in the three Northeastern provinces, regions and regions and the countries along the “Belt and Road”, and establish a deep-seated and long-term cooperation mechanism in education, scientific and technological cooperation, personnel training and introduction, and international academic exchanges.
