In order to actively implement the national “The Belt and Road” initiative, to further promote the internationalization of our university’s education development, a delegation were composed of President Li Kangjv, Ms. Xu Ying, Dean of International Education College and Mr. Cui Honghai, International Cooperation Adviser were invited to visit by five famous Russian Universities including Irkustsk State University, Transbaikal State University, South Ural State University, National Research University “Higher School of Economics” and Russian St. Petersburg National University from November 7thto 15th.
By this visit, President Li Kangju had meeting and singed cooperation agreements with the leaders of these Russian universities on Short-term students or teachers’ exchange visiting program for both sides, and students from our university study for undergraduate and master's degrees in Russian universities through “3+1” or “3+1+2” programs. A new channel was successfully opened up for our students or teachers to visit and study abroad.
Signed an agreement with Southern Ural State University to establish Pushkin College in our university, providing support and guarantee for our students to learn Russian and Russian culture. Pushkin College will also serve as a professional institution for learning and testing Russian, providing language training services to people in Shenfu area.
Reached academic exchange agreements with Transbaikal State University and other universities. Regularly Sino-russian academic conferences will be held to conduct special studies on Sino-Russian economy, culture, science, art and other aspects, so as to promote academic exchanges and cooperation between the teachers.
Achieved an agreement on establishment of International Joint Laboratory on Food Biotechnology with South Ural State University, so as to provide a platform for exchanges and cooperation between experts and scholars in this field for both sides.
During the visit, President Li Kangju also visited our graduated students who are studying in Transbaikal State University and South Ural State University to understand their study life in Russian.
This visit is an important measure of our university in response to the national "The Belt and Road" initiative, which strengthens our university to understand of Russian universities and promotes comprehensive exchanges and cooperation with Russian universities in education, science and technology, culture and other fields. The visit was a complete success. Next step, relevant departments will push forward relevant cooperation matters one by one to ensure the implementation of the exchange results.
